No one was quite sure exactly where they were. All anyone really was aware of was sounds and smells coming from the other rooms, and the occasional glimpse one could get of their neighbor across the hallway through the tiny rectangular window in the door. Some inhabitants were lucky enough to have someone across from them who still looked somewhat normal, though they all shared that look of desperation, the longing to be somewhere, anywhere else.
