Weekly Freebies, Sort of…

Ok. Here’s the deal. We made the stuff that went out as weekly freebies from EF/Smith Micro for YEARS. Weekly freebies have been a big deal at Daz for ages. Rendo gains truckloads of traffic because of what? Freebies. So…
After some thought on the matter and looking at ideas to, quite frankly, remind people that WE’RE STILL HERE, I realized that in all the really active forums one of the big things you always see is someone looking for something. Could be anything, but definitely looking. What I’ve decided to do is this: I’m going to keep my eyes open on as many of the active forums as I can, probably mostly Daz , Rendo, RDNA and here right off unless things kick into gear somewhere else, and once every 1-2 weeks, will pick something I see actually asked for, make it, release it for free and reply to the original thread letting that person know I’ve answered their request. Now, there are a lot of requests out there and probably stuff I might miss, so if anyone notices a particularly interesting request that might benefit a lot of people, post here and let us know about it.
Whenever we “answer” someone’s need out there, I’ll be posting a link right in this thread to the originating thread as well as blogging about it and updating my profile on myspace, facebook and twitter in the same way. The idea here is simple: I want people to know that we’re here and we’re listening to them.
I would also like to ask that if anyone from here uses one of these new freebies in an image, you post about it here. If you see someone use one that you recognize, post about it here. I would like to be able to look to this thread and see the effort we put into this idea basically documented here by both us and the community in the organic way that only a forum thread can do. Thanks!

Sounds like an excellent idea.
I shall definately try and contribute with renders of the Freebies, in Carrara.
OT, whens the next batch of Circue Macarbre stuff coming out??, I have already bought ALL of the current offerings and I am keen for some of your more extravagant circus freaks.

We have a number of items in line for release at RDNA soon, and the Circus is by no means a finished set, but will be an ongoing development. At the moment, I’ve completed a pretty large body of work in the line and need to step away from it for a bit to focus on the updated and expanded Mythos line plus a couple of other things we’ve been cooking up, but by the time all of the remaining Circus stuff hits the store, there will probably be more waiting in the wings. I’m trying to time the production and releases so that it all stays pretty steady. Dropped the ball on that a bit through the beginning of the year, but there’s more on the way.

The Raptorians will be released by Content Paradise at some point. Since we sold them to Smith Micro, we can’t sell them or give them away to anyone. Sorry. We will post on here when the go out for sale again, so you can’t pick them up then.
